Arbor Day 2014
On April 26, 2014, students from Riverside Brookfield High School and Hauser helped us pull invasive garlic mustard and buckthorn, mulch beds and then plant an Arbor Day tree, donated by Melinda Pruitt-Jones. Our many volunteers cut down invasive species along the riverbank, hauled the branches to be chipped and then the Village Public Works employees applied herbicide to keep them from returning.
